In the spring of 2007, we began our quest to find a builder for the land we had purchased in Pinehurst several years earlier. We were determined to find the right construction company, to ensure that we built the quality home we wanted. After asking many other homeowners who they would recommend, we considered several. Also, we knew it would be important to establish a trusting and comfortable relationship with a builder since we were going to be living long distance during the construction process.

The initial interview with Bonville Construction was a discussion of our expectations of communication during construction, a walk-through of a completed home and another under construction. After meeting three times, it was easy to choose them. It became apparent that their attention to detail, from site preparation to the framing process to the finish work was meticulous. Not only that, they listened to and respected our wishes.

We then hire the Bonville design team to begin working from a rough home concept. It was during this design process that Ken and John began to understand what our lifestyle would be, and helped integrate it into the design and function of the home. After several months and many drafts, we arrived at the design we live in today.

Bonville kept us involved during every phase of construction by providing us with a detailed schedule of the design and construction of our home. Never once did we feel we had to be present in order to assure construction was proceeding properly. Also, there were no surprises or last minute deadlines to meet.

As many homeowners will do, there were several modifications of the original plan during the construction phase. Ken and John took these as part of the normal process. at the end of the project our add/change cost was minimal and we received the home we wanted.

We can’t speak highly enough about Bonville Construction, both during the initial construction phase and the follow-up after we moved in March (March 2008). We had a sense that Ken and John (and all subcontractors) wanted us to be happy with our home. We love our home and would definitely choose Bonville in the event we ever build another home. Not only are they great builders, they’re also wonderful people.
