Dear Friends of George, Ken, and the whole Bonville Family

In 1995 we purchased a lot from the developer of Longleaf. The street had not been put in, the utilities not installed, and with little to go on but a sketch of the property dimensions and the setback requirements required by Southern Pines.

We had earlier purchased a Southern Seasons plan by Stephen Fuller, of Atlanta, when we lived in New Hampshire that suggested a 6,000 sq ft home. While still living in NH, Nancy worked with cut-outs at the dining room table, cutting and making minor changes to fit the dream house that she wanted. We were coming from a restored historic home built in 1767(yes before the Revolution) to a modern home on a golf course in the South. WOW! The bright spot is that the Fuller plan allowed us to cut back to about 3,200 sq ft., and with Bonville’s design staff, we got everything we wanted.

From that point on the Bonville people took over and led Nancy through all of the suppliers to select the fixtures, paint, etc. We had a number of fixtures that we had made for us in New England(exterior brass lamps., some plumbing fixtures, etc.), and there was no problem dealing with the subcontractors with these issues. We did all of this while still living in New Hampshire.

As I sit here watching the Weather Channel tracking hurricane Isabelle, I am not one bit worried that I will have any concern about this Bonville home. It will be here long after I am gone, and will maybe last longer than the old pre- Revolutionary War home that we enjoyed and were privileged to own in New Hampshire.

Thank You  Bonville for a job well done
David & Nancy Foote
