Suzanne & Max Powell

To whom it may concern:

We were living in Maine at the time we purchased our land in The Fields, and began the process of building our retirement home. Prior experiences lead us to approach the project with a certain amount of anxiety, particularly since we would be over 1,000 miles distant from the project.

We did our reference checking, and made visits to look at samples of work. There were several good builders to consider. Two of the differentiating factors for us were the in house design capability of Bonville Construction, and their experience at working within an Architectural Review Board process. We did not want to attempt managing the integration of design and construction from a distance.

We have built houses before, but this was the first time we enjoyed the process from start to finish. Form the submission of our initial sketch, through the one year follow up review, everything happened on schedule, and within budget. We made three scheduled trips to work on the project, plus one more just out of pure excitement. Each trip was carefully planned for us, to make effective use of our time, help us achieve a satisfactory balance between our goals and our budget, and to assure that the final product would meet our expectations and support the enjoyable retirement lifestyle we had planned.

Finally, it is important to consider how carefully Ken and John select and set expectations for their subcontractors. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail was even more than we expected. Being a complex project, there were a few things to be finished, or rectified, after we moved in. Everyone has been responsive, until it was right, including Ken and John, with tools in hand, late on a Friday afternoon.

Sincerely,
Suzanne and Max Powell
